Multiplayer: how to play with friends
Click Multiplayer on the title screen and enter a name. The screen shows a live list of public worlds other players have open: click one to join it, no code needed. Create New Public World hosts a world for everyone using the normal create-world screen. For a private game, host a room and share its code; friends type the code to join.
There is no game server. Players connect to each other directly through the browser. The first person into a public world hosts it, later arrivals join them, and if the host leaves another player takes over so nobody is kicked. Public worlds save like normal worlds, so you can come back to them from Singleplayer later and reconnect.
Everything that matters is shared: block changes, dropped items, chest and furnace contents, what each player wears and holds, weather, zombie waves and chat. Press T to chat.
Chat commands
Press T or / and type a command. The most useful ones:
| Command | What it does |
|---|---|
/tp diamonds | Teleports you to the nearest diamonds. Works for any block, mob, biome or structure: /tp village, /tp creeper, /tp jungle, /tp trial chamber, /tp ancient city, /tp end portal, /tp nether. It keeps searching until it finds one; /stop cancels. |
/give netherite_sword 1 | Gives an item, optionally with a count and enchantments. /give player anvil also works. |
/kit diamond | Kits: enchanting, end, netherite, diamond, food, builder. |
/spawn nether portal | Builds a nether portal next to you. /spawn zombie spawns a mob. |
/tornado 5 | Summons a tornado of that EF rating (Weather mod worlds). |
/time night, /gamemode creative, /heal, /xp 30, /seed, /kill | Time, mode, health, levels, seed, respawn. |
Fun mods
Fun mods are optional modes you turn on when creating a world, and they can be mixed:
- Weather: thunderstorms with lightning and tornadoes rated EF1 to EF5. EF1 is a spinning nuisance, EF3 tears up stone, EF4 and EF5 rip player-built houses apart, so only underground is safe.
- Horror: pitch-black nights, monsters that never burn, whispers, and a Stalker that only moves when you look away.
- Random Blocks: every block you break, mob you kill and chest slot gives a surprise item, with occasional jackpot drops of full armor or tool sets.
- Hardcore: one life; the world is deleted on death.
- Structure Chaos: a random structure every hundred blocks.
- Zombie Apocalypse: the dead attack in ever bigger waves, day or night, with a wave counter on screen. Waves are shared in multiplayer.
- Guns: pistol, full-auto rifle, shotgun, a scoped sniper rifle (hold Shift to aim through the scope) and a ghillie suit that keeps mobs from noticing you until you are close.
Structures and bosses
- Villages with trading villagers and an iron golem guard. Build your own golem by placing a carved pumpkin on a T of four iron blocks; shear a pumpkin with shears to carve it.
- Strongholds with the End portal, found by throwing an eye of ender. The End has the Ender Dragon, then End Cities and an End Ship with an Elytra on the outer islands.
- Nether fortresses with blazes and wither skeletons. Three wither skulls on a T of soul sand summon the Wither; its Nether Star makes a beacon.
- Trial chambers of tuff and copper with trial spawners, Breezes, Trial Keys, vaults, the Heavy Core and the Mace.
- Ancient cities deep underground with sculk shriekers. Four shrieks wake the Warden, a blind 500-health giant that hunts by vibration and fires a sonic boom. Sneak and stand still to lose it.
- Also woodland mansions with evokers, ocean monuments with guardians, shipwrecks, jungle temples, pillager outposts, desert temples, dungeons, mineshafts and ruined nether portals.
Gear progression
Wood, stone, iron, gold and diamond tools use the real break-time formula and recipes. An enchanting table with up to 15 bookshelves offers 30 enchantments with real effects, and an anvil merges books and repairs gear. Ancient debris in the Nether smelts into netherite scrap; four scrap and four gold make a netherite ingot that upgrades any diamond item. Netherite survives lava. Tridents, spears with a mounted charge attack, bows, TNT, saddles and horses, tamed wolves, and a Totem of Undying from evokers round it out.

How do I find diamonds in Ironcraft?
Mine down to the lowest layers where diamond ore generates, or press T and type /tp diamonds to be taken to the nearest ones.

Yes. Worlds are saved in your browser on the device you play on. Public multiplayer worlds save too and reconnect when you open them again.
How do I get to the Nether or the End?
Build an obsidian portal and light it with flint and steel, or type /spawn nether portal. For the End, throw eyes of ender to find a stronghold, fill the twelve frames and jump in.

It rips up every block except bedrock and obsidian, including houses you built, and pulls anything above ground into the funnel. Dig underground to survive. Type /tornado 5 on a Weather mod world to see one.
