PRIVACY AT IRON GAMES

Iron Games is built for play without accounts, purchases or advertising. This page explains the limited information used by the website and by Ironcraft multiplayer.

The short version

Information stored on the device

Ironcraft worlds, settings and progress are saved in the browser’s local storage. Iron Front and Iron Battle may also save progress and preferences locally. This information normally stays on that device. A family can remove it by clearing site data for irongames.win in the browser.

Basic site analytics

Iron Games uses Google Analytics to understand broad totals such as which pages and games are used and whether the site is working. Advertising storage, Google Signals and advertising personalization are disabled in the site’s tag. We do not send player names or chat messages to Analytics. Google may process technical information such as the browser, device, page address and an approximate location derived from the network connection. This data is used to operate and improve the site, not for advertising.

Ironcraft multiplayer

Ironcraft uses PeerJS to connect browsers for multiplayer. Gameplay state travels between players in the same room. Public rooms automatically use a random player alias, hide names supplied by other players and disable public chat. Private-code rooms allow a chosen display name and chat because they are intended for people who already know one another. Players should never put a real name, email, phone number, school, location, password or other private information in a display name or message. PeerJS, its connection service, the content delivery network and the players’ internet providers may process connection information needed to establish a multiplayer session.

Hosting and outside services

The site is hosted by GitHub Pages and delivered through Cloudflare. Those providers may keep ordinary security and delivery logs, including IP addresses and request details. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, and Ironcraft loads the PeerJS library from jsDelivr only when multiplayer is opened.

Questions from parents

A parent or guardian can contact the site maintainers through the Iron Games GitHub issue page. Issues are public, so do not include a child’s name, contact details or other private information. Because Iron Games has no player accounts, the site generally has no account record to retrieve or delete.

Updates
