Worlds other players have open right now. Public worlds save on your computer like regular worlds: you keep your stuff, can play them alone from Singleplayer, and bring the latest state with you when you host.

Mix and match. They are baked into the world when you create it.

Thunderstorms roll in with rain and lightning strikes, and tornadoes tear across the land ripping up blocks and throwing you into the sky.

Pitch-black nights you can barely see through, monsters that never burn in daylight, whispers in the dark, a Stalker that only moves when you are not looking, and Cartoon Cat: a towering grinning cat that hunts you from far away and lashes out with stretching limbs.

Every block you break, mob you kill and chest you open gives a random item. About one in thirty is a jackpot with a whole gear set.

Hard difficulty and one life only. When you die the world is deleted.

The dead come in waves, day or night, and they never burn. Each wave is bigger and nastier than the last: zombies, then husks, skeletons, spiders, creepers and worse. Survive as many as you can.

Start with a pistol and 32 bullets. Craft a rifle (full auto), a shotgun and a sniper rifle (hold Shift to look through the scope) from iron and planks, a ghillie suit from leather and leaves so mobs only notice you up close, make bullets from iron and leather, and pick ammo off the monsters you drop. Right-click to fire.

A random structure every hundred blocks: villages, temples, mansions, outposts, igloos, huts, portals and dungeons wherever you go.

Survival: gather resources, craft, survive the night. Creative: unlimited blocks and flight.
