Iron Front Family Tournament Rules and Scorecard
A fair local tournament format that rewards improvement, accuracy, survival and sportsmanship.
What this mission is about
Players with different experience levels need more than a winner-takes-all score. This format gives everyone four ways to earn points and uses a practice round to establish a personal baseline. Improvement can matter as much as the largest total.
What kids practice
SKILL 1
Agreeing on rules in advance
SKILL 2
Tracking personal improvement

Challenge steps
Record each practice result as the player’s baseline.
Award one point for completing the round goal and one for beating the personal baseline.
Award one strategy point when the player can explain a deliberate choice.
Award one sportsmanship point for helping the next player get ready.
Use the better of two scored attempts rather than adding both.
Let the final winner choose a cooperative bonus challenge.
Talk it through
A short explanation turns an exciting moment into a chance to organize evidence and ideas. Ask one or two questions instead of turning the whole session into a quiz.
- Did the rules stay fair for new and experienced players?
- Which score category changed behavior most?
- What disagreement should the next rules clarify?
