What this mission is about

Set up the mission

Choose three rounds of 15 to 25 minutes. Make a score sheet with four columns: goal completed, improvement, explanation and sportsmanship. Agree on the rules before the first round. All three Iron Games run in a modern browser on computers, tablets and phones with no download or purchase.

Challenge steps

Round one: build the most useful tiny Ironcraft shelter using an agreed footprint.

Round two: play one Iron Front battle and award improvement points against each player’s first attempt.

Round three: start an Iron Battle mission and score objectives secured within the time limit.

Let each player show one decision they are proud of.

Add the four score categories and let the winner design next game night’s bonus round.

Talk it through

A short explanation turns an exciting moment into a chance to organize evidence and ideas. Ask one or two questions instead of turning the whole session into a quiz.

Level it up

Create team rounds in which an older and younger player share planning duties. One player controls while the other tracks the goal and announces time checks.

A note for parents and homeschool adults

Set the session length and learning goal before play, then leave room for the child’s own solution. Treat the game as a prompt for practice and questions.
